once you have an ancient dragon (level 70) you will be able to purchase gold and silver powder. Silver costs 50,000 of the same aura and gold is 100,000 of the same aura. They will be moved to your inventory, there you can select which dragon to use it on (you can use it on any dragon you own).

I've always wanted to meet the artist behind dragonadopters. I never figured that person would use deviantart. Haha! At any rate from one person to another I'd like it if we could be friends. :D
